Five years in the making, Orange Tulip Conspiracy is finally here. A band that Jason Schimmel (Estradasphere, Secret Chiefs 3) formed and has been composing and producing for with the help of over a dozen amazing musicians from the L.A., Bay Area and Seattle music scenes. The album is being released and distributed through Web of Mimicry and is available right now. Please check out Orange Tulip Conspiracy’s self- titled debut album featuring heavily produced tracks and densely packed orchestrations. | SUMMER 2008 updateJuly 7th, 2008 |
|---|
The post-Palace of Mirrors psychic explosion that Estradasphere has endured is frying all manners of new synapses... While the band as a whole will maintain a low profile for the next several months (during bass player/producer Tim Smolens' adaptation to fatherhood), there will be ample opportunity throughout the US and Europe to see smaller-format versions of Estradasphere featuring various combinations of the members, as well as the members' other current projects, including Timb and Jason's outings with the Secret Chiefs 3, Jason's upcoming solo project Orange Tulip Conspiracy , and Timb's new trio with Gyan Riley and Scott Amendola. Meanwhile, Estradasphere has just wrapped up some fruitful work in the studio with Amanda Palmer (Dresden Dolls) which are now sitting on the pad waiting to be launched. In the meantime, Amanda will appear with Estradasphere this summer at the Rothbury Music Festival (July 4th weekend, see forum for details). Keep an eye out for future live and studio collaborations between these strange bedfellows..." |

| Members of Estradasphere play first Seattle showSeptember 30th, 2007 |
|---|
The new Estradasphere studio was host to a private show last Sat. featuring the Fishtank Ensemble, and surprise acoustic set by Tim, Timb, and Jason. The show was completely sold out (as in, the place was too full for everyone to see). They played a set of 60's foreign/domestic cinema interpretations and acousticized gypsy metal and jazz. The stage seems to be set for a number of private performances in Estradasphere's new Seattle studio. |
